A wooden cooking spatula that’s balanced and comfortable to use.

Hand‐carved wooden utensils is an area that I was looking to experiment with. Solid, natural wood are my preference because of their durability, safety, and also beauty.

My goal is to create a light and agile spatula, without glues or any chemical finishing. Made just from a single piece of wood.

Set of five cooking spatulæ, made from single blocks of solid Sakura or Oak woods, for either right or left handed usage

I choose Sakura wood for most of the spatulæ, except one where I used Oak wood instead. With these woods, the spatula is resistant to bacterial growth, even without applying any coating.

The handle sits comfortably in the hand, with a shape targeting the perfect balance in mind. So that is easily maneuver and can flip large amounts of food with little effort.

The overall shape design is either for right or left handed. Most are made for right handed, with 2 of them for left handed usage.
